Kristina Spencer (Krisi) received her bachelor’s in biology degree from Bucknell University in 1997 and went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Slippery Rock University in 2000. She is a Vestibular Certified Specialist through Emory University and an active member of the Vestibular Disorders Association. After more than 15 years with a large neurological setting, Krisi started KMS Balance and Dizziness Rehabilitation in 2016. Her vast experience includes various balance and neurological disorders including vestibular/vertigo/equilibrium disorders, stroke rehab, brain injury/concussion, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and various other neurological conditions. She enjoys helping people that struggle with balance learn how to regain their equilibrium, retrain their brain for enhanced reaction time, and prevent falls through home safety evaluations. Krisi offers treatments in the clinic, in your personal home, and via telehealth video platforms.
At KMS, the focus is on YOU! The common goal is to make progress in quality of life, not achieve perfection. Krisi will listen to your story, assess your specific needs and impairments, and design a specific program that meets your life. After a thorough two-hour evaluation, each follow up session will be 90 minutes of one-on-one treatment time. More attention means less trips to the clinic with efficient results. The clinic is equipped with the Visual Eyes system to allow for video recording of your vision and vestibular control and a tilt table to increase neck comfort while lying in positions to treat vertigo (BPPV). Krisi is committed to serving with superior customer service with follow up phone calls, emails, and messages to ensure adequate education and emotional support.
When Krisi is not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, and two children, Hailey and Justin. She enjoys singing with a Christian Contemporary Music Ensemble, teaching Tai Chi, and watching her children participate in almost any activity or sport. Her faith journey has brought her to find an incredible home with the Vine and she is blessed to be able to serve with compassion, patience, and empathy.
